Mission Statement

robotics = fun + challenging

To provide a fun learning environment which encompasses sciences and engineering for kids 5th-12th grades.
We sometimes refer to the robotics experience as “Sport for the Mind” .

What we believe in

We respect each other and all other human beings.
We support each other and our fellow human beings.
We are a team.
We do the work to find solutions with guidance from our coaches and mentors.
We honor the spirit of friendly competition.
What we discover is more important that what we win.
We share our experiences with others.
We display gracious professionalism in everything we do.

History

Batavia Robotics - Established 2002

We are different from computer robotics' classes in that we relate robotics to current world events

Fox Valley Robotics – Established 2007

A multi-community based organization providing robotics’ programs to kids.

Fox Valley Tech-Ed Foundation - Established December 2008

A more structured and formal approach from the business perspective.
FVTech-Ed encompasses Batavia Robotics and Fox Valley Robotics.

People

The organization consists of participants, parents, mentors, and coaches.
All the people involved are volunteers.
We are not-for-profit.
